Far Cry's boss departs Ubisoft amidst rumours the next game will be a live-service project - davisfortent

Ubisoft's Dan Hay, former executive of the Far Hollo series, has left Ubisoft Montreal after x years, just as rumours purl around the next biz in the series.

Hay coupled the companion over a decade ago as a manufacturer on 2013's Far Cry 3. He would then get a promotion to Executive Producer by the time of spin-off Long Cry 3: Blood Dragon. It was a theatrical role he'd retain across the next two mainline titles (4 & 5) and spinoffs Far Cry Primal and Out-of-the-way Cry New Dawn.

An Ubisoft voice confirmed his departure to GamesBeat in a statement. "After more than 10 years at Ubisoft, Dan Hay has announced that he will follow pursuing a new chapter in his business life and atomic number 2 will be leaving on November 12. Dan has been the Executive Director of Off the beaten track Cry and has developed an dumbfounding multi-disciplined squad to give rise what has become one of the most popular games in Ubisoft's history. We thank Dan for his many contributions over the age and wish him all the best for the next."

"In the interim, the brand team up leave be LED away Sandra Rabbit warren in Montreal as well as a highly capable team up of producers and directors, in gain to continued its collaborations with a phone number of strange studios around the populace." Hay has not hitherto discovered his future plans.

However, as an interesting twist, GamesBeat also note that Hay was working along the next Far Cry mettlesome before his departure. Specifically, they claim that Ubisoft destine to make the next unveiling a live service game, similar to Assassin's Credo Infinity. There's not much many than that at this point, but information technology adds an interesting wrinkle to the narrative.
